Role OverviewThe School Age Childcare Head Teacher will work with children in the Before and After School Programs at Horace W. Porter School. The position is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar. The Head Teacher will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- at least 360 hours of documented, supervised experience in a family childcare home, childcare center, or group childcare home
- at least one semester of student teaching with preschool-aged children
- Current Center-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- at least 1,080 hours of documented, supervised experience working directly with children in a legally operating childcare center serving children through preschool
- Minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
- Demonstrates a warm, friendly, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members
- Maintains a high level of professionalism; dependable and punctual
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., and actively engage in all activities required to safely supervise and keep up with children
