Role Overview

We are hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our After School Program at Wells Memorial School for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will work with children and help them learn through play and positive experiences. They will be responsible for facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and supporting program operations.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities will include facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, observing state guidelines and program policies, and supporting program operations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for facilitating homework completion, providing a positive role model for children, and supporting program operations.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
