Role OverviewThe School Age Childcare Program Director will be responsible for leading the after-school program at Akron Elementary School in Akron, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for helping them learn through play and positive experiences. The program director will be responsible for facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and observing state guidelines and school policies.

The program director will also be responsible for supporting program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements
- Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
- School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
