Role Overview

The School-Age Childcare Program Director will oversee the After School Program at Akron Elementary School, working with children aged 5-12. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and supporting program operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
