Role Overview

The Site Director leads the daily operations of the site by creating a safe, engaging program that children love and families trust. They support and coach their team, build strong relationships with families and school partners, and ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.
