School Age Childcare Site Director – After School

We are hiring a School Age Childcare Site Director for our After School Program at AJ Smith Elementary School. The successful candidate will work with children, helping them learn through play and positive experiences. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and supporting program operations.

The Site Director will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations. They will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
