School-Age Childcare Site Director – After School

The School-Age Childcare Site Director will be responsible for leading the After School Program at AJ Smith Elementary School. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model for children in the program. The Site Director will also support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
