Role OverviewWe are hiring a School-Age Childcare Counselor for our After School Program at Sun Valley Elementary School. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be energetic, kind, and patient, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The role is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar.
What You Will Do
As a School-Age Counselor, you will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children in the program. You will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat
- Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and maintain active supervision while participating in children's routines and activities
