Role OverviewThe School Age Physical Educator is a creative and energetic teaching professional who educates individuals with developmental disabilities in an ungraded self-contained classroom. The role involves administering assessments, providing Adaptive Physical Education instruction, and maintaining accurate attendance records. The Physical Educator works in a team environment and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, quarterly reviews, and professional development activities.
What You Will Do
Administer formal and informal assessments, provide Adaptive Physical Education instruction, maintain accurate attendance records, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. The Physical Educator will also plan and implement special events, recreational activities, and program-wide physical education initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- NYS Certification in Physical Education or Adaptive Physical Education
