Role OverviewThe School Crossing Aide supports the daily flow of pedestrian movement near designated school crossing areas, assisting school-aged children and families as they navigate to and from school. This role maintains a visible and approachable presence during assigned times, helping to guide crossing activity in an organized and consistent manner while representing the community in a positive and professional way.
What You Will Do
Provide guidance to school-aged children and pedestrians at designated crossing locations during assigned times, maintain a visible and attentive presence to support orderly crossing activity before and after school hours, communicate clearly and professionally with children, parents, and community members, and promote a positive and welcoming environment through friendly and respectful interactions.
