Job Description
The Office of School Health's Medical Unit's physicians provide legally mandated services based upon Health Code 49-05(b), which states that New York City Schools are required to have physician supervision for all schools. School Health physicians support children residing in all boroughs, prioritizing communities with the highest prevalence of pediatric chronic diseases and disabilities.

Requirements

  • Valid Board Certification issued by the appropriate American Specialty Board in any specialty area required by the agency
  • Current approved application on file for admission to the certifying examination given by the appropriate American Specialty Board in any specialty area required by the agency
  • A valid license to practice medicine in the State of New York
