Role OverviewThe School Safety Security Officer will assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of students, team members, visitors, and HMH property. This includes patrols, access control, surveillance, dispatching, supervision of students, assistance with crisis interventions, and incident reporting.
What You Will Do
A day in the life of a School Safety Security Officer includes providing information and assistance, handling computer programs, controlling access, and responding to calls and codes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient computer skills, and the ability to handle disorderly and/or abusive persons.
Requirements
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand and walk for a long period of time, minimum of 8 hrs a day
- Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs.
- Ability to ascend/descend 2-10 flight stairs
