School Social Worker Bilingual

We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Redwood City, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. As a School Social Worker, you'll work directly with students and school teams to provide social-emotional support, behavioral intervention, crisis support, and services aligned with students' educational and Individualized Education Program (IEP) needs.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities may include: providing individual and small-group social-emotional and behavioral support, conducting student assessments, developing and implementing interventions, providing services and interventions outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participating in IEP, multidisciplinary, problem-solving, and student-support team meetings.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited social work program
• Current or eligible for appropriate California Social Work licensure (LMSW/LCSW or other applicable credential based on the position)
• Completion of required supervised practicum/fieldwork as part of an accredited social work program
• Experience working with children or school-aged students preferred
• School-based or pediatric Social Work experience preferred
• 2+ years of professional experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of IEPs, IDEA, special education processes, and behavior intervention planning
• Understanding of child and adolescent development and social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Ability to provide individual and group interventions appropriate to the educational environment
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect students and families with appropriate supports
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in the use of technology for documentation, communication, and educational purposes
• Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to exercise a high level of tact, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in internal and external communications
