Role OverviewThe Science Communicator supports the Fleet Mission Statement and Visitor Experience Philosophy by providing educational programming designed for school groups and public audiences. This position will facilitate workshops, camps, shows, youth and adult programs, outreach programs, and exhibit experiences.
What You Will Do
Conduct engaging educational experiences, assist in creating and implementing new programs and exhibits, and maintain the functionality and organization of learning labs and educational workspaces.

Requirements
- Strong interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects
- Some college education, especially a bachelor's degree in education or science
- Valid CA driver's license
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Experience teaching and leading school-aged children in hands-on activities
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment
