Role OverviewThe teacher is responsible for implementing research-based instructional strategies to direct the learning process and achievement of assigned students. Instruction will be individualized to accommodate differences in individual learning style, rate of learning, level of maturation, and level of achievement.
What You Will Do
Maintain competency in subject matter areas, employ methods of assessment to identify student proficiency levels, and plan programs to accommodate those needs. Develop awareness of local culture and provide instruction that is bicultural or multicultural.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Alaska Teacher Certificate or Type M Certificate, and experience with ACE, PBIS, and Restorative Circles. Inupiaq, Language, History & Culture experience is preferred.
