The Lead Camp Counselor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging experience for all campers. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a passion for recreation and youth development.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a camp counselor, ideally in a leadership role (1-2 years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of recreation, leisure activities, and cultural programming
  • Ability to handle conflict in a calm and professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Passion for youth development, recreation, and enriching the lives of others
  • A positive attitude and the ability to foster a fun and inclusive camp environment
