Job Description
The Section Chief (External Audit Manager 2) position manages the monitoring and consulting function for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and U.S. Department of Agriculture programs, working closely with local agencies and state-level program staff within ODJFS. Responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive monitoring strategy, participating in risk assessments, and supervising a team of professional auditors/monitors.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive monitoring and technical assistance strategy of county family service agencies
  • Participate in risk assessments of all programs, grants, and financial and administrative functions
  • Plan, direct, and control monitoring projects within the overall strategic plan
  • Review and edit monitoring reports and present recommendations to appropriate management
  • Supervise lower-level managers and a team of professional auditors/monitors
  • Build collaboration across federal, state, and local stakeholders
  • Manage, create, and enhance processes and tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Make presentations and provide technical assistance
