Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an Administrative Architect M3, Section Manager for its Architectural Section in Queens, NY. The selected candidate will perform high-level architectural duties, oversee staff, and review designs for critical projects. The position requires a valid New York State Registration as an Architect and six years of full-time paid experience in architectural work, including two years as an administrative architect.

Requirements

  • Analytical ability and overall architectural knowledge
  • Experience in planning, layout, and details of architectural drawings and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • 7-10 years' experience in leading and supervising a design team
  • Experience in coordinating a project with engineering and other disciplines
  • Valid New York State Registration as an Architect
  • Six years of full-time paid experience in architectural work, including two years as an administrative architect
