Role OverviewBWXT is seeking a Security Access Control Technician to implement and support access control security requirements in accordance with Federal regulations. The successful candidate will interact with employees, visitors, and customers, and maintain administrative knowledge of various security systems.
What You Will Do
The Security Access Control Technician will process security functions, provide support to personnel, and assist with access denial and access reactivation processes. They will also maintain administrative knowledge of security systems and provide physical support to departments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience with NOG-B Security or in a related discipline, and be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and able to implement new software and applications as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- at least 5 years of experience with NOG-B Security or in a related discipline
- demonstrable skills with MS Word, Excel, and ability to implement new software and applications as needed
- superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- US Citizenship with no dual citizenship
- ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance
