Job Description
ReUp Education is seeking a Security & Compliance Specialist to support and strengthen corporate security, compliance, and governance programs. The role will sit at the intersection of information security, regulatory compliance, vendor risk management, and cross-functional business operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of information security principles, experience supporting compliance frameworks, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years experience in information security, compliance, privacy, IT risk, GRC, or a closely related field
  • Foundational knowledge of information security principles (CIA triad, risk management, controls)
  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, TX-RAMP, or similar regulatory standards
  • Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) or willingness to learn quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, compliance, audits, and requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
