What You Will Do
Provides courteous and expeditious customer service, monitors or patrols an assigned area, reports disturbances or criminal activity, preserves order, and enforces applicable rules and regulations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a current and valid Security Guard Registration (California Guard Card) and valid firearms endorsement/certification issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Must have passed a California POST Basic Peace Officer Academy or out-of-state equivalent and serve as a current, former, or retired peace officer.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent
- Current and valid Security Guard Registration (California Guard Card)
- Valid firearms endorsement/certification issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
- Passed a California POST Basic Peace Officer Academy or out-of-state equivalent
- Valid Class "C" California driver's license
- 21 years of age or older
- No conviction of a felony offense or misdemeanor offenses involving moral turpitude
