Job Description
Sanford Health is seeking a Security Officer to enforce policies and procedures, patrol facility buildings and grounds, and respond to requests for assistance in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Requirements

  • Enforce policies and procedures with all patients/residents, visitors and staff
  • Patrol and secure facility buildings and grounds as assigned
  • Monitor conduct of visitors on premises and confront unauthorized persons for questioning
  • Report safety, fire hazards or security violations
  • Respond to all requests for assistance from employees, patients/residents and visitors
  • Maintain records and prepare incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities
  • Prioritize calls for service in order of urgency based on safety needs
  • De-escalate situations in highly stressful environments
