Role OverviewThe Security Officer will perform various duties related to safety and security, including patrols, responding to emergencies, and conducting investigations. The role requires exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-risk situations. The Security Officer will also provide armed support during critical incidents and assist law enforcement with investigations.
What You Will Do
Perform all duties of the Safety & Security Officer, including patrols, lock/unlock schedules, parking lot surveillance, internal code response, vehicle assistance, and morgue release coordination. Carry and responsibly operate firearm, taser, baton, and handcuffs in accordance with IRMC policy and Pennsylvania law.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have previous safety/security experience, preferably armed security or law enforcement experience. The Security Officer must be able to exercise rational decision-making and sound judgment in all security operations, especially during high-risk or rapidly evolving situations.
Requirements
- Valid PA driver’s license
- PA ACT 235 or PA ACT 120 (with PA ACT 235 waiver)
- BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
