Role OverviewThe Security Officer will respond to security emergencies, patrol and conduct surveillance of LCMHS facilities and properties, and enforce criminal ordinances and LCMHS policies. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to perform duties independently, and ability to make decisions and apply good judgment in uncertain situations.
What You Will Do
The Security Officer will respond to calls for service, in-progress emergencies, and alarms, and take action to mitigate situations. They will also investigate and report incidents, and prepare written reports.

The ideal candidate will have previous security, law enforcement, or military experience, and be able to read, write, and speak intelligible English. They will also be able to communicate orally and in written form, and be detail-oriented and adaptable to change.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) or their professional certification is valued
