Role OverviewAs a Security Officer I, you will provide protection to the hospital, patients, visitors, employees, and their property. You will perform patrols, maintain awareness of the environment, and observe potential security risks. You will also assist patients, guests, and staff with general information and provide access control.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing patrols, investigating complaints, preparing reports, monitoring security and fire equipment, and responding to emergency codes. You will also engage in opportunities for additional education and training.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in public law enforcement, military police, or armed hospital security. You will need to be eligible for coverage as a driver of DMC vehicles and have a valid State of Michigan driver's license. You will also need to complete the Public Act 330 certification program and have a Concealed Weapons Permit.
