Job Description
Security Officer responsible for enforcing company safety and security rules, regulations and policies on company property. Conducts routine inspections, investigates accidents and incidents, and performs safety and security related duties. Adapts to specific patient population and remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year Security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Previous experience as an armed police officer with a Louisiana or Federal Law Enforcement Agency
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of Certified Police Officer of Standard Training Policy Academy (state, federal, or military)
  • Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification or Military Police equivalent
  • Valid Louisiana driver’s license and clean DMV report
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training
  • International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification within 90 days of promotion/hire
