Role OverviewThe Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons and employees at the Terre Haute Casino Resort. The role involves ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, interacting with the public, and providing training to security officers. The work environment is fast-paced and demanding, with high noise levels and exposure to smoke.
What You Will Do
The Security Officer will relay instructions to other security officers, provide training, and assist with tasks such as escorting fills and documents. They will also be responsible for identifying patrons, acting as a shift dispatcher, and driving a property vehicle or shuttle as needed.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Intermediate PC skills
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission
