Role OverviewThe Security Officer will respond to security emergencies, patrol and conduct surveillance of LCMHS facilities and properties, and enforce criminal ordinances and LCMHS policies. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to perform duties independently, and ability to follow complex instructions. The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment under stressful conditions and may be exposed to unfavorable weather conditions.
What You Will Do
The Security Officer will respond to calls for service, in-progress emergencies, and alarms; coordinate scheduled emergency drills; take action and intervene per procedure and protocols to mitigate situations and reduce injury, prevent property damage or loss. The Security Officer will also patrol and conduct surveillance of LCMHS facilities and properties, identify and address threats and risks to ensure the safety and security of people and property.

The ideal candidate will have previous security, law enforcement, or military experience, be at least 18 years old, and have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) or their professional certification is valued
