Role Overview

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of the History Center exhibits, programs, and emergency response protocols while providing extraordinary customer service. The officer will observe and operate security systems, assist with overall risk management, and locate, correct, and/or report threats to the organization.

What You Will Do

The Security Officer will be responsible for observing and operating security systems, assisting with overall risk management, and providing customer service to the public. The officer may be questioned by the public on topics regarding the History Center, and will be required to maintain a working knowledge of the History Center's exhibits, programs, and emergency response protocols.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 2 years security experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings for special events
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
