Role OverviewThe Security Officer is responsible for providing security and environmental safekeeping of district office locations. They ensure all persons entering the premises are authorized, communicate with visitors, and investigate incidents. The role involves performing related work as directed.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include responding to internal and external customers, providing security at ID checkpoints, verifying employee and student credentials, and conducting security patrols. The Security Officer also represents the district in matters involving security, access, and property control.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Three (3) years previous security, military, law enforcement, or correctional experience
- Demonstrated investigative and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license
- Ability to obtain and remain up to date on mandated training classes required for the position
- Satisfactory district background investigation
