Role Overview

The Security Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in physical security, asset protection, emergency preparedness, and large-scale event operations within a dynamic hospitality and entertainment environment. The intern will work alongside security leadership and officers, developing practical skills in incident management, surveillance operations, guest screening, data analysis, and security technology while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do

The Security Intern will assist with responding to and documenting incidents, conduct campus patrols, monitor activity through the Security Operations Center, assist with Campus Security Mapping Project, and support guest screening procedures. The intern will also ensure security equipment and resources are organized and prepared to support daily activities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Public Safety, or a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Interest in physical security, security technology, emergency preparedness, investigations, and event operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, adaptable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments while managing independent assignments.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
