Role OverviewThe Security Specialist II will perform daily administrative tasks in support of the site security department, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and safeguarding classified information. The role requires extensive experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) security programs and maintaining mission readiness.

Responsibilities include performing administrative tasks, communicating with clearance granting agencies, obtaining certification of existing clearance levels, issuing security badges, maintaining logs and records, and providing work direction to lower-level personnel.

Requirements
- Active TS or Q security clearance
- Associate's degree or equivalent military or technical training
- One year specifically related work experience in the NISPOM/SAP/SCI security fields
- Formal training such as successful completion of the Industrial Security Management Course
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in operating personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphics software
- Database management experience
- Familiarity with a standard intel computer system, laminating machine, and professional instamatic camera
- Qualification for and maintenance of a government security clearance
- Valid, state-issued driver's license
