Role OverviewThe Security Team Lead provides protection to the hospital, patients, visitors, employees, and their property. They lead the security operations and staff on an assigned shift, prepare daily work assignments, and maintain daily attendance records. The role requires a visible security presence, awareness of the environment, and the ability to suppress activity contrary to hospital rules and regulations.
What You Will Do
The Security Team Lead performs duties such as presenting a visible security presence, performing public service duties, leading security operations, making daily work assignments, and maintaining daily attendance records. They also investigate safety, security, and parking problems, and respond to fire alarms.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience as a security officer II in a DMC security department or equivalent experience as a certified police officer
- Successful completion of Public Act 330 certification program or completion of a MCOLES certified academy
- Concealed weapons permit (for guns) required
- Must be eligible and remain eligible for coverage as a driver of hospital vehicles by the hospital's insurance carrier
