Role OverviewResponsible for safeguarding Department of Water facilities, equipment, grounds, and restricted areas against damage and loss. Operates the Ottawa Yards Security Booth to screen vehicles, visitors, vendors, and contractors entering and leaving the site. Enforces facility security policies, procedures, access requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
What You Will Do
Conducts routine and random security support and patrol of water facilities, grounds, restricted areas, and other designated City property to identify security concerns, suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and safety hazards.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.)
- One year of experience as a security guard
- One year of experience as a Security Worker I with the City of Dayton
- Valid driver's license
- Full-time permanent or part-time permanent employee in pay grade 112 (Wage) or below, pay grade 22 (Clerical) or below, or equivalent
