RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze commercial accounts to assess coverage, limits, and exposures, and provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure service expectations and ongoing needs are consistently met.
- Collect and evaluate client information and prepare applications for new and renewal coverage for submission to the Marketing Department.
- Develop and present client proposals tailored to individual coverage needs, pricing, and risk profiles.
- Process all transactions for assigned accounts, including applications, certificates of insurance, invoices, and related documentation.
- Conduct business with an understanding of the company’s financial performance, profitability, and strategic objectives.
- Stay current on industry trends, market changes, and regulatory updates to proactively support business and profit goals.
- Collaborate closely with Producers and internal team members to deliver comprehensive client service, marketing, and renewal support in alignment with Alera Group’s best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the execution and completion of all transactions, documentation, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve complex or escalated service issues requiring advanced policy interpretation and professional judgment; negotiate with underwriters and carriers as needed.
- Maintain responsibility for account retention and overall client satisfaction within the assigned book of business.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Assistant Account Managers and Technical Assistants as needed.
- Participate in industry-related continuing education and professional development programs to maintain expertise and licensing requirements.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of insurance industry experience
1+ years of experience at the Account Manager level (preferred)
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Agent’s License in applicable state(s)
Industry-related certifications expected
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.

Salary range is $38 to $40 per hour based on experience.
