Job Description
Mercor is seeking a Senior Accountant to develop long-horizon accounting tasks and create transactional accounting scenarios. The role involves designing close processes and constructing supporting analyses. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience as a staff or senior accountant and expertise in reconciliations, accruals, and AP/AR on major ERPs. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. The position is a contract role with a compensation range of $50–$70/hour, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years as a staff or senior accountant.
  • Expertise in reconciliations, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, AP/AR on major ERPs like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Intacct.
  • Ability to read and produce accounting artifacts like JE packages, reconciliations, and trial balances.
  • Clear written communication skills for encoding reasoning into deterministic rubrics.
  • CPA or CPA candidate.
