Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to join our team as a key member of our finance department. The role involves processing budgets, claims, and monthly reports to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. The team serves over 1,250 children and over 500 families in New York City, and programs are conducted in a trauma-informed, caring manner.
What You Will Do
The Senior Accountant will prepare program budgets and modifications, remit fiscal claims, monitor expenditures, prepare bank transfers and reconciliations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Grant administration experience related to claiming, budget mods, and journal entries
- A minimum of 5 years of senior level accounting experience
- Experience in nonprofit accounting with government funders (local, state, federal) preferred
