Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of Plantscape Inc. financial information. This full-time, onsite position works closely with and reports directly to the Controller, providing experienced support across general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, analysis, and special projects.
What You Will Do
Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end close activities, prepare and post recurring, adjusting, and other journal entries, prepare monthly general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations, and investigate reconciling items.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Basic knowledge and understanding of GAAP requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, financial statements, and balance sheet account relationships
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed, adaptable, and able to learn new accounting systems and software quickly
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling payroll, financial, employee, and other confidential information
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
