Role Overview

As a Senior Actuarial Associate, you will perform model validations across the organization, research key emerging actuarial issues, and collaborate with stakeholders across business functions. This role sits within Corporate Risk Management (CRM) and requires a strong financial modeling background with advanced experience in Excel and VBA.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include performing independent model validations, identifying model risks and issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and partnering with teams across Pricing, ALM, and Valuation to provide effective challenge and validation support.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for individuals with prior experience in annuity products, a strong financial modeling background, and experience using actuarial modeling software. Familiarity with PBR and pre-PBR valuation guidance is a plus, and an interest in emerging AI model risk and validation practices is beneficial.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with annuity products (i.e., index, fixed, or RILA) in valuation, modeling, and hedging
  • Strong financial modeling background with advanced experience in Excel and VBA
  • Experience using actuarial modeling software such as Prophet or similar
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation highly preferred; candidates near ASA and relevant annuity experience will also be considered
  • Familiarity with PBR and pre-PBR valuation guidance is a plus
  • Interest in emerging AI model risk and validation practices is beneficial
