They are looking for a Senior Additive Simulation Engineer to develop, implement, and refine multiphysics simulation models for additive manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with various teams to translate simulation insights into actionable process changes and staying current with advancements in the field.

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Welding Engineering, or equivalent field
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Proficiency with multiphysics analyses using tools like ABAQUS, ANSYS FLUENT, Flow3D, or equivalent
  • Experience with automated and dynamic meshing techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++, Fortran) to automate workflows and extend the capabilities of CAE tools
  • Demonstrated experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to optimize processes and validate models against real-world results
