Job Description
The Senior Advisor has responsibility for growing organic revenue with clients, maintaining and growing an assigned book of business, territory and/or sector of medium complexity.

Requirements

  • Primarily operates within their primary client segment, territory and/or business line.
  • Leads sales activities with more complex clients and prospects.
  • Works with other NFP firms to develop and promote cross-market accounts, gain new accounts and/or identify opportunities in an account territory.
  • Responsible for making presentations and proposals, responding to RFPs, securing competitive bids on insurance, re-proposing as necessary and closing sales.
  • Sell and service P&C insurance to prospective and existing clients by preparing specifications and marketing strategy for new business and renewals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers.
  • Use independent judgment and discretion placing clients’ coverage with market carriers. Negotiate terms and pricing in the best interests of the client.
  • Meet assigned goals for sales and renewals.
  • Train and support department staff as necessary.
  • Confers with management on setting and achieving integrated selling targets.
  • Set leadership example with use of technology such as Salesforce and Epic to report actual results.
  • Acts as subject matter expert for company products and services.
  • May provide mentoring and coaching to fellow team members.
  • Frequently makes independent judgments without prior review.
  • May supervise one or more individual contributors.
