Role Overview

CK is seeking an experienced Senior Air Quality Consultant to join our growing team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you'll lead complex permitting and compliance projects for industrial clients while serving as a trusted technical advisor and project manager. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside highly respected technical professionals in an employee-owned firm that values collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships.

What You Will Do

Lead air quality permitting and compliance projects from proposal through completion. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and overall project performance. Provide technical expertise on New Source Review (NSR), Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), Nonattainment NSR (NNSR), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), and other air quality regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience focused on air quality.
  • Proven success managing complex permitting and compliance projects.
  • Strong experience with NSR, PSD, NNSR, NSPS, Title V permitting and compliance, air emissions inventories, and emissions calculations.
  • Experience supporting industrial clients in refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, natural gas, power generation, or other industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Texas air permitting regulations, including PBRs and standard permits.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring technical staff.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements, including eligibility to access industrial facilities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and project work.
