Job Description
Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist with deep expertise in quantum error correction to work on compilation science as part of a team of scientists and engineers building fault-tolerant quantum capabilities. You will make design choices that directly influence production systems, working alongside the FTQC Science Lead to translate research direction into implementable solutions.

What You Will Do

You will drive scientific design decisions for fault-tolerant quantum workloads, develop and implement resource estimation algorithms, collaborate with software engineers, benchmark approaches against realistic hardware noise models, and work with quantum hardware providers.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are particularly interested in candidates who have taken QEC research from theory into implementation, whether in simulation or on physical hardware. You will publish research in coordination with the broader Braket science team, representing Amazon Braket at relevant conferences and workshops.

  • 3+ years of research experience in quantum error correction (academic or industry)
  • Track record of publications in QEC, fault-tolerant quantum computation, or closely related areas
  • Experience implementing quantum algorithms or error correction protocols in simulation or on real hardware

Benefits

  • health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans)
  • EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage
