Role OverviewThe Senior Architect manages, oversees, and supervises the design, construction, and related architectural functions for the development and delivery of large scale Capital Improvement projects for the City. Serves as the key design professional for buildings, systems, signage, utility requirements, and ADA issues for projects across the City.
What You Will Do
Directs, oversees, and supervises architectural design process on both renovation and new construction projects; manages design consultant selection, contracting process, and compilation of accurate stakeholder requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Four (4) years experience as a licensed architect including familiarity with construction cost estimating, CAD drafting, project administration, project scheduling, building materials and methods of construction
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Current License issued by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners OR architect license from other state(s) with a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Board
- Must pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check
