Job Description
Reporting to a District Manager, Field Supervisor, or Assistant Field Supervisor, operates a wide variety of medium-to-heavy construction equipment used in construction, maintenance and repair of City streets. Performs general supervision at an assigned work site, provides training and orientation to subordinate workers, and makes recommendations on the assignment of personnel and equipment for individual projects.

Requirements

  • Three years’ paid work experience to include two years’ operating the equipment which would be assigned plus one year performing 'lead' or supervisory duties
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted procedures and materials in the field of asphalt maintenance construction
  • Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to work and relate well with co-workers, supervisors and the general public in varying circumstances
