Role OverviewUTA seeks a Senior Associate as part of our Sports Group’s sports and entertainment-focused communications team. This role is responsible for executing external and internal communications and media relations for UTA’s sports arm and its clients.
What You Will Do
Executes strategies to promote and drive awareness of Sports Group’s clients and business areas across all sports year-round, secures coverage in local and national sports, consumer, entertainment and news media, and supports Sports Group’s internal and corporate communications functions.

Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in public relations, communications, professional writing and/or marketing in-house, at an agency, or both
- Experience working with professional sports leagues/teams or top media brands, and knowledge of media relations, corporate communications, or sports marketing
- Experience securing local and national stories and news items across television, print and online media
- Experience executing PR strategy in collaboration with sports leagues/teams, brands, agencies or community organizations
- Experience with Muckrack, Cision, Canva, Adobe/PhotoShop, and content production are a plus
- Strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to communicate efficiently and clearly when speaking and writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people from a range of diverse backgrounds, work styles and cultures
- Great problem-solving and organizational skills, resourcefulness and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with poise, professionalism and confidence
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and coordinate with clients and key stakeholders
- Maintains strong relationships with sports, lifestyle, health & wellness, business, news and entertainment print and digital media outlets
- Demonstrated computer and digital proficiency (MS Office, BOX, Google apps, etc.) and fluency across most social media platforms
