Job Description
The Department of Social Services is seeking a Senior Attorney to provide legal representation of the Commissioner in administrative hearings and state courts on Intentional Program Violation litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation and counseling units, and be able to develop appropriate litigation strategies and lead the preparation and presentation of cases to an outside prosecutorial agency.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • One year of satisfactory United States legal experience
  • Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne
  • Experience in Assignment Levels I and/or II or three years of comparable legal experience
  • Experience in areas of law related to the assignment
