Role Overview

The Florida Gaming Control Commission is responsible for exercising all regulatory and executive powers of the state with respect to legal gaming. The agency is overseen by five Commissioners who are appointed by the Governor, with Commissioners appointing an Executive Director who leads a team of more than 200 staff members. The mission of the Florida Gaming Control Commission is to preserve and protect the integrity of gaming activities through fair regulation, licensing, effective criminal investigation, and enforcement.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Attorney in the litigation unit, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of administrative and civil litigation, including advising the Commission on complex legal issues, conducting legal research, drafting charging documents and appellate briefs, and representing the Commission in administrative and civil courts.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Florida Bar
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law or in administrative or judicial hearings
  • A valid driver's license
