Senior Automation Engineer (Networks)

ANS is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer (Networks) to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award. The successful candidate will plan, analyze, design, develop, test, secure, integrate, implement, operate, and maintain the custom solutions that ANS delivers.

What You Will Do

Install, configure, and maintain Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) solutions and associated network infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and service deployment issues, leveraging NSO logs and monitoring tools to perform root cause analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education, including a Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years. Expert knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) is required.

Requirements

• TS SCI Poly
• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
• Expert knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
• Expert knowledge and experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining software in a Linux (RHEL) environment.
• Intermediate scripting skills are required (Ex. Python).
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Solid technical communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
