Senior Aviation Engineer/Project Manager

As a Senior Aviation Engineer/Project Manager at HDR, you will help shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. You will work on designing resilient highways and iconic bridges, advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure. Your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, sustainable and resilient communities and quality of life.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will prepare technical papers and presentations, become a Subject Matter Expert in aviation related specialty design criteria, and lead project document production. You will also develop and implement new methodologies or technical tools to improve technical design efficiency, and oversee QA/QC processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
• A minimum of 10 years experience with Airfield Planning and Design
• Develop, maintain and implement the use of new or improve existing methodologies or technical tools to improve technical design efficiency for use throughout Aviation Market
• Overall strong understanding of airfield design
• Strong technical background and experience in designing several aspects of airfields
• Microsoft Office experience
• Project Management experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
